Daniel James Laster is an architectural designer at Gensler in Houston, Texas. His abilities include advancing architectural projects from schematic design into construction documents, interior design, Revit expertise, laser cutting, and 3D Printing. He has taught university courses in digital modeling and hand drawing, and is a visiting critic at the University of Houston.
He received his M.Arch from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a graduate fellowship and assistantship, and was the annual class recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for leadership. Prior to RISD, he graduated Cum Laude from University of Nevada Las Vegas with a B.S. Arch. He is the founder of Design Technology Lab, a new initiative to foster and support a digital design culture within Gensler Houston.
Daniel is a registered LEED Green Associate and Associate AIA member. When he is not studying for his licensing exams, he frequently reads, DJs, and paints.
